Glass Friction Rod

The Glass Friction Rod is designed for physics experiments involving electrostatics and static charge generation. It helps students understand how electric charges are produced through friction. When rubbed against silk, the glass rod becomes positively charged while the silk acquires a negative charge. Bringing charged rods close to each other can also be used to demonstrate electrostatic repulsion between similar charges and attraction between opposite charges.
