Van de Graaff Generator Superior

The Van de Graaff Generator is designed for physics laboratory demonstrations of electrostatic charge, charge transfer, and the relationship between voltage and current. It is similar to a conventional Van de Graaff generator but features a larger metal sphere of approximately 250 mm diameter. The generator can produce voltages of up to 350 kV under suitable conditions, making it suitable for safe demonstrations of electric fields and electrostatic forces. Since the current produced is very low, it can be used for engaging classroom demonstrations involving high-voltage electrostatic effects. It can also be used to demonstrate concepts such as charge conservation, charge transfer, triboelectric effects, conductors, and insulators.
