+91 98967 93832This hand-driven Van de Graaff Generator is designed for classroom demonstrations of the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy and for observing the effects produced by electrostatic charge. The manually operated design does not require an external electrical power supply and is mounted on a stable base for convenient use. As the generator operates, charge separation takes place, allowing electrostatic charge to build up on the large metal dome. A metal sphere of approximately 150 mm diameter surrounds the upper pulley and collects the charge, while an insulated plastic column supports the pulley assembly. The hand crank allows the operating speed to be controlled according to the requirements of the demonstration. A discharge sphere is supplied along with instructions for conducting experiments. The equipment provides a clear understanding of the basic working principle of a Van de Graaff generator, including charge transfer through the pulley assembly, charge accumulation on the dome, and spark discharge when sufficient potential is developed. Manufactured by Atico Export India for physics laboratory applications.
