Discharger Length 20cm

The Discharger is designed for safely releasing electric charge from high-voltage electrostatic sources such as Van de Graaff generators and Leyden jars. It allows charged objects to be discharged while minimizing the risk of direct contact with highly charged surfaces. The apparatus consists of two curved plated metal arms hinged together and mounted on an ebonite insulating handle. A screw and spring washer are provided to adjust the arms to the required position. Both arms terminate in small plated brass spheres for controlled electrical discharge. Designed and manufactured by Atico Export to meet the practical demands of modern laboratories.
