Discharger Length 30cm

The Discharger is designed for safely releasing electric charge from high-voltage electrostatic sources such as Van de Graaff generators and Leyden jars. It helps discharge charged objects while reducing the risk of direct contact with the charged surface. The apparatus consists of two curved metal arms hinged together and mounted on an ebonite insulating handle, with a spring washer provided for adjusting the arms to the required position. Both arms terminate in small plated brass spheres, allowing controlled discharge during physics laboratory experiments.
