+91 98967 93832The Large-Scale Hydrocyclone is a high-capacity unit designed for large-volume wet classification, suitable for both laboratory and pilot-scale applications. This system offers high performance and flexibility for large-scale separation and sample preparation tasks.
Working Principle :
The hydrocyclone operates on the principles of centrifugal force and vortex motion. The process works as follows:
Feed : A mixture of liquid and solid particles is fed under high pressure into the hydrocyclone through an inlet on the side. This mixture begins to spin rapidly within the hydrocyclone, creating a vortex.
Centrifugal Force : As the mixture spins within the conical structure of the hydrocyclone, centrifugal force is generated. This force pushes denser, larger particles outward toward the hydrocyclone walls, while lighter, finer particles remain in the center.
Separation : Under the influence of centrifugal force, the heavier and larger particles are directed to the bottom outlet, known as the –spigot.– These particles are typically coarser and denser materials. The lighter and finer particles, on the other hand, concentrate at the center and exit through the upper outlet, known as the –vortex finder.–
Result : This process results in the material being split into two streams: dense and coarse particles at the bottom and fine and light particles at the top. The separation may vary depending on particle size or density.
Due to this effective Working Principle : hydrocyclones offer high efficiency in separating various material types in both laboratory and industrial applications. They are widely used in sectors such as mining, mineral processing, chemical engineering, and water treatment.
Application :
Power and Electricity :
Suitable for Laboratory and Pilot Studies : This hydrocyclone is designed for a wide range of applications, from detailed laboratory testing to pilot-scale operations, supporting versatile and precise processing needs.
High-Pressure Pump : Equipped with a centrifugal pump with a head capacity of 51 m SS (5.1 bar) and a flow rate of 12 m°/h. The pump flow is continuously adjustable, allowing precise control for different requirements.
Durable Steel Construction : The main chamber is constructed from steel sheet and has a capacity of 200 L. Additionally, it includes a 130 L fine product tank and a 70 L coarse product tank, both made of the same durable material.
Polyurethane Hydrocyclones and Accessories : The system includes various polyurethane hydrocyclones with multiple vortex finders and spigot caps to handle different separation sizes:
°10 mm PU Cyclone : Separation range of 2–5 microns, with a capacity of 0.15–0.30 m°/h.
°22 mm PU Cyclone : Separation range of 4–7 microns, with a capacity of 0.5–1.4 m°/h.
°44 mm PU Cyclone : Separation range of 5–10 microns, with a capacity of 0.9–3.8 m°/h.
°75 mm PU Cyclone : Separation range of 6–20 microns, with a capacity of 5–11 m°/h.
Easy Access and Control : A mobile platform with wheels is included for easy access and control of the cyclones, making operations more manageable and efficient for operators.
Powerful Electric Motor : A 7.5 HP, 2800 RPM, 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz motor powers the centrifugal pump, ensuring efficient liquid handling for demanding applications.
