+91 98967 93832The Leyden Jar is an early type of capacitor designed to store electrical charge and is suitable for physics laboratory demonstrations of electrostatic charge storage. It consists of inner and outer metal conductor plates separated by a plastic dielectric material. The inner plate is fitted with a hook and ball arrangement for convenient charging. An electrical charge can be applied to the external knob using a Van de Graaff generator or Wimshurst machine. Positive and negative charges accumulate on the two metal plates, while the dielectric layer between them provides insulation and prevents immediate discharge. When a suitable discharge path is provided, the stored charge can be released through the external circuit. Designed and manufactured by Atico Export to meet the practical demands of modern laboratories.
