Needle Electroscope

The Needle Electroscope is designed for physics laboratory experiments to demonstrate the principles of electrostatic charging and charge detection. It helps students understand how an electroscope responds to the presence of electric charge. The apparatus consists of a light metal vane mounted on a pivot and supported within a protective chamber, allowing the vane to rotate freely when the electroscope is charged. A front glass window can be opened for inserting ionizing materials into the chamber. The deflection of the metal vane provides a simple indication of the presence of electric charge on the electroscope or a nearby charged object.
