4 Choice Gambling Task 4C-GT for Mice for Physiological Research Instrumentation

The Four-Choice Gambling Task is designed for controlled cognitive and physiological research involving impulsivity, decision making and reward-based behavior. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on precision, durability and consistent performance for physiological research and experimental laboratory use.

• Designed to assess impulsivity and decision making
• Based on the Iowa Gambling Task
• Sensitive to serotonergic and dopaminergic agents

Task principle :

• The rodent chooses from four illuminated windows
• Touching any window results in either a Win or a Loss
• A Win delivers a food reward
• A Loss results in a timeout period with no reward
• Each window is associated with a different amount of reward
• Larger rewards are associated with a lower probability of receiving a Win
• Larger rewards also result in longer timeout periods when a trial is a Loss
• The subject learns to avoid high-risk, high-reward options to maximize earnings

• Test of impulsivity and decision making
• Training paradigms and experimental guidance included
