Compact Manual & Automated Radial Mazes for Behavioral Research test

The Compact Manual & Automated Radial Maze is designed for evaluating spatial memory and non-spatial memory in rodents, including memory associated with motivational cues such as food. The eight-arm radial maze consists of a central area with eight sliding doors providing access to eight equally sized arms. The maze is constructed from black Plexiglas and mounted on a tripod with adjustable height. The doors can be operated manually or automatically, allowing flexible experimental control. Animal position can be detected using photoelectric beams or a video-tracking system. Automated operation can be controlled through RS232/USB communication without requiring a PCI interface.
