The Compact Stereotaxic Instrument for Mouse and Rat allows both mouse and rat adapters and ear bars to be used on a single base unit. The dual-lead screw design provides stable, accurate and smooth manipulation, while laser-engraved scales facilitate easy reading. The instrument provides 180° vertical rotation and 360° horizontal rotation, with the ability to lock at any angle. The base plate measures 40.0 × 25.5 cm. Digital manipulator arms are also available with a displacement transducer and compact LCD display, providing real-time coordinate presentation of all three axes with a resolution of 10 µm. The display can operate using AC power or battery power, reducing electronic noise and making the system suitable for electrophysiology experiments.
