Forced Exercise Walking Wheel Bed for Physiological Research Instrumentation

The Forced Exercise / Walking Wheel Bed is designed for rats and provides a flexible platform for conducting controlled exercise and sleep deprivation paradigms. The sturdy exercise bed supports up to 6 individual rat exercise/walking wheels, with each wheel positioned in its own running track and supported by cushioned non-slip grips. Three removable stainless steel waste pans facilitate waste collection and cleaning. Wheels can be added or removed while the system is operating, while rubber feet provide stable placement or the system can be permanently mounted to a flat surface or workbench. The system can be easily disassembled for cleaning. A handheld LCD interface allows setting of exercise/walking speed, exercise time, rest time and number of cycles, while a built-in USB interface provides computer connectivity for flexible control of scheduled exercise parameters.
