+91 98967 93832The Grip Strength Meter is designed to study neuromuscular function in rodents by determining the maximum force generated by an animal. The test can be used as part of a Functional Observational Battery (FOB) for screening neurobehavioral toxicity, where changes in grip strength may indicate motor neurotoxicity. During the test, the animal is held by the tail and lowered toward the horizontally positioned apparatus, where it grasps a metal grid or triangular pull bar. The animal is then gently pulled backward in the horizontal plane, and the force applied immediately before the animal loses its grip is recorded as peak tension. Grip strength can be measured from the front or hind paws depending on the selected accessory. The system is manufactured by Atico Export for reliable performance in animal behavioral and neuromuscular research.
