Hot/Cold Plate Analgesia Meters for Behavioral Research test

The Hot/Cold Plate Analgesia Meter is designed to assess animal sensitivity to pain resulting from exposure to controlled heat or cold stimuli. The system uses a metal plate with electronically controlled heating and cooling, allowing temperature settings to be reached rapidly and maintained with high stability. During testing, the animal is placed on the plate and a built-in timer is started. The timer is stopped when the animal lifts its paw in response to discomfort, providing reaction time as a measure of pain resistance and analgesic efficacy. The system provides a homogeneous temperature surface, front-panel digital temperature display, and convenient foot-switch timing operation. It can also be configured for user-defined temperature ramps and loops, with temperature slope, starting point, and ending point selectable by the user.
