The plate temperature can be maintained at a selected set point between 45 and 62°C with an accuracy of ±0.1°C using proportional feedback circuits that minimize temperature overshoot. A built-in electronic timer, activated through an external foot switch, enables precise measurement of animal reaction time with 0.1 second precision. The reaction time can be viewed directly on the display or transferred to a computer for further analysis.
