+91 98967 93832The Incapacitance Meter (Static Weight Bearing Test) is designed to assess spontaneous pain in laboratory animal models with inflammation or nerve injury affecting one hind paw. The system measures spontaneous postural changes by independently determining the weight applied by each hind paw on two separate sensor plates. Specially designed animal holders maintain the animal in a comfortable position during testing, while the difference in weight distribution between the hind paws can be used to assess changes associated with unilateral hind paw injury. The control unit displays the weight applied to each sensor in grams, Newton, or oz/lbs and allows calculation and display of mean and standard deviation for tested animal groups. A remote foot switch enables hands-free test operation, while collected data can be transferred to a computer through USB for further analysis. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on reliable performance for animal pain and behavioral research.
