IR Actimeter for Behavioral Research test

The Compact Infrared (IR) Actimeter is designed for studying spontaneous locomotor activity, rearings, and optional hole-board exploration parameters in rodents. The system uses a two-dimensional square infrared frame with 16 × 16 infrared beams for reliable animal detection and can be configured for general activity, locomotor and stereotyped movements, rearing, or exploratory behavior. Interchangeable frames can be used in open-field or home-cage configurations, while adjustable infrared sensitivity allows adaptation to different animal types such as rats and mice. The system can operate independently through control units or be connected to a computer for data visualization, export, trajectory analysis, and further behavioral assessment. It requires minimal maintenance and lighting conditions and is suitable for behavioral studies, drug screening, and phenotype characterization.
