Lung Weight Measurement Option for Isolated Perfusion Systems for Physiology Lab

The Lung Weight Measurement (Edema Balance) Option can be added to an isolated perfused lung system for mouse, rat, guinea pig, or rabbit lungs. It enables continuous monitoring and measurement of edema formation over time. Raw data is measured as lung weight, while the calculated value represents weight change over time (dW/dT). The system can also be used to assess vascular permeability by calculating the filtration coefficient from weight changes caused by increasing and decreasing perfusion pressure. The measurement system includes a weight measurement transducer integrated into an alternative lung chamber cover.
