+91 98967 93832The Manual Foot Misplacement Corridor is designed for assessing motor coordination and balance (gait control) in small laboratory animals such as rats and mice. The apparatus consists of a narrow corridor with transparent Perspex side walls and open extremities connected to plastic home cages. The floor is formed by removable metal bars, allowing the animal to walk across the corridor similarly to walking on a horizontal ladder. This arrangement enables separate observation of front and hind foot placement and accurate counting of foot misplacements. The bar spacing can be adjusted to increase test difficulty and minimize the ability of animals to compensate through learning. The corridor width can also be adjusted according to animal size to prevent turning around. The system can be combined with video tracking for recording and evaluating animal trajectory, displacement, and speed. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on reliable performance for animal behavioral and motor coordination research.
