The system consists of an X-Y translator and a large fixed stage designed for experiments requiring a spacious platform. The stage provides solid, stable support and ample space for attaching manipulators and other instruments as needed. The rigid aluminum top plate is securely mounted on two gantry-style stands, which provide height adjustment and stable attachment to vibration tables. The system is available with either metric ---or standard (1/4-20) spacing.
