The Motorized Wheel for Tethered Rat is designed for forced exercise and voluntary running studies in tethered rats. It features durable stainless steel and polycarbonate construction, along with a non-slip shock-absorbing drive belt for controlled forced exercise. The drive belt can be easily removed when free-running data collection is required. A fold-down slotted side provides convenient animal placement and removal while allowing a drug line or electrode cable to pass through when connected to a suitable swivel or commutator. The system includes a mounting bracket for support arms and swivels, a removable food and water holder for ad lib access, a stainless steel waste pan, and a polycarbonate water bottle with stainless steel sipper tube.
