An automated, real-time, high-content data acquisition and analysis system designed for high-throughput measurement of myocyte contractility and fluorescence. The system enables high-speed acquisition from hundreds of myocytes per hour using automated cell-finding and image-analysis technology.

The system includes a fast, programmable X-Y-Z scanning microscope for accurate positioning, focusing and orientation of isolated myocytes, supporting repeated measurements of contraction and relaxation function. It also enables identification and real-time characterization of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. The enclosed microscope provides stable temperature conditions while allowing convenient access for perfusion systems and electrical stimulation connections.
