+91 98967 93832The Plantar Test (Hargreaves’ Method) is designed to assess peripherally mediated responses to thermal stimulation in rodents. The system uses a movable infrared source positioned beneath a glass floor and placed directly under the animal’s hind paw. When the animal withdraws its paw in response to the thermal stimulus, the infrared source automatically switches off and the reaction time counter stops. Withdrawal latency is automatically determined and recorded with 0.1 second resolution, eliminating the need for visual scoring. The system features adjustable infrared intensity, a modular animal enclosure, internal data memory, and computer connectivity for data storage and analysis. Each animal can serve as its own control, and repeated testing can be performed without affecting test validity. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on reliable performance for thermal nociception, analgesia, and animal behavioral research.
