The running surface is constructed with stainless steel rods arranged to provide durability and animal comfort. The system includes an autoclavable polycarbonate tub and water bottle, stainless steel lid and wheel, stainless steel food hopper, and polycarbonate water bottle with stainless steel sipper. The wheel portion can be easily removed for cleaning, while the sensor/counter assembly can be removed without tools for convenient routine maintenance.
