+91 98967 93832The Rotameter is designed for evaluating rotational behavior in rodents and for screening behavioral effects associated with lesions, drugs and other experimental manipulations affecting the brain. It is widely used in animal models of Parkinson disease involving unilateral lesions in the dopaminergic nigrostriatal system. The system uses an adjustable harness with a soft ring connected by a flexible tie to a bidirectional rotation sensor. The animal is placed in a transparent cylindrical or bowl-shaped container with a supporting rod, while the sensor detects and counts left and right rotational movements. The system can record partial and complete turns, with adjustable pulse/turn resolution and configurable experiment duration and counting intervals. The system is manufactured by Atico Export for reliable performance in animal behavioral and neuroscience research.
