Servo Controller Module for Perfusion Pressure Regulation and Indirect Flow Measurement for Physiology Lab designed for perfusion control of isolated organs by regulating the speed of a peristaltic pump. It maintains perfusion at either constant pressure or constant flow and allows selection between the two operating modes using a switch. The module also calculates and displays perfusion flow from pump speed, providing an indirect flow measurement method. It includes an analog output corresponding to pump speed for continuous flow recording through a computer-based data acquisition system. Function :

• The built-in PID controller regulates the speed of the connected peristaltic pump
• Higher pump speed produces higher pressure in the perfused organ
• In constant-flow mode, the controller regulates pump speed to control flow
• Flow varies linearly with pump speed
• In constant-pressure mode, the user defines the desired pressure setpoint
• The controller automatically adjusts pump speed until the setpoint pressure is reached and maintained
• When pressure is below the setpoint, the controller increases pump speed
• When pressure is above the setpoint, the controller decreases pump speed
• Closed-loop control continuously maintains the selected pressure level
• Since delivered flow rate is proportional to pump speed, the module calculates and displays flow directly from pump speed
• Flow calculated from pump speed is classified as indirect flow measurement
