+91 98967 93832The Social Interaction Box is designed for studying general social behavior using a paired social interaction test. It provides an experimental environment where a subject can freely explore an unfamiliar conspecific in either its home cage or a neutral environment. Social exploration can be assessed by measuring the time spent around the conspecific as well as the amount and duration of behaviors such as sniffing, following, grooming, biting, mounting, and wrestling. Social avoidance behavior can also be evaluated in models investigating neophobia, anxiety, and depression-like behaviors. The box consists of three interconnected compartments with removable dividers and manual sliding doors for controlled animal positioning. The system is compatible with tethered animal experiments and can be optimized for video tracking using non-reflecting materials. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on reliable performance for animal behavioral and social interaction research.
