+91 98967 93832The Tube Dominance Test is designed for investigating social dominance in mice. The apparatus consists of a narrow clear Perspex tube with two removable central doors and supporting paws to ensure stability during testing. After individual habituation to the tube, two mice are placed at opposite ends. Once both animals approach the central doors, the doors are opened and the dominant mouse forces the submissive mouse to reverse until it exits the tube. When one animal has all four paws outside the tube, it is considered the loser, while the animal remaining inside is considered the winner, ending the match. The number of wins can be reported as a percentage of total matches, while additional parameters such as match duration and latency to exit can provide further information about social hierarchies. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on reliable performance for animal behavioral and social dominance research.
