Vertical Tissue Bath System for Physiology Lab

Advanced tissue bath system designed for studying force or displacement from a wide variety of tissue preparations, including atria, papillary muscle without potential recording, skeletal muscle and smooth muscle such as intestine, bladder and uterus. The system can also be used for isolated intact blood vessel and nerve-muscle preparation experiments with suitable specialized holders. Available in single or four-channel configurations with multiple tissue vessel volumes, tissue holders, force and displacement transducers, stimulation options and data acquisition capabilities. Set Up & Operation :

• Integrated platform carries the tissue holder, micropositioner and transducer
• Platform can be raised to bring the tissue holder out of the glass vessel for easy tissue access
• Flushing solution is warmed using flow-through heat exchangers
• Central connection provided for gas addition
• Six needle valves provide individual gas-flow adjustment
• Gas flow can be individually adjusted for four tissue vessels, preparation dish and solution reservoir
• Electrical stimulation requires suitable tissue holders with stimulation electrodes
• Suitable stimulator should provide separate outputs for each tissue
• Stimulator should provide stimulus trains suitable for smooth muscle stimulation
• Stimulus amplitude should be individually adjustable for each tissue
