The Cleveland Open Cup Flash and Fire Point Apparatus is designed to determine the flash and fire points of petroleum products using the Cleveland Open Cup method. It is suitable for petroleum products, excluding fuel oils and materials with an open-cup flash point below 79°C (175°F).

The apparatus consists of a brass test cup, test flame applicator, thermometer support, heating plate, and electric heater. The flame applicator is precisely aligned with the test cup and pivots to apply the test flame at specified temperature intervals. The hinged thermometer support allows convenient placement and removal of the test cup. A built-in needle valve and comparison bead help adjust the test flame, while the 1000 W nickel-chromium heater with stepless variable heat control enables accurate adjustment of the heating rate.
