The Automatic Petroleum Product Color Analyzer is a high-precision spectrophotometer designed for objective color measurement of petroleum fuels, mineral oils, waxes, and petrochemical products using the Saybolt and ASTM Color scales.

The instrument is suitable for visual color assessment of lubricating oils, heating oils, diesel fuels, petroleum waxes, refined oils, undyed motor and aviation gasoline, jet fuels, naphthas, kerosene, and pharmaceutical white oils. Its optical measurement system uses 16 interference filters across a spectral range of 420–710 nm to provide repeatable color analysis. The long optical path length supports accurate Saybolt Color measurements of clear, water-white products.
