Loss on Heat Thin Film Oven for Oil and Petroleum Testing Equipment

The Asphalt Oven is designed to evaluate the effects of heating on bitumen and asphaltic materials under prescribed conditions. Testing results are determined by measuring changes in sample mass and selected properties, such as viscosity, penetration, and ductility, before and after the oven cycle.

The dual-purpose oven supports loss-on-heating and thin-film testing. It features a stainless steel interior chamber, a powder-coated steel exterior, and a double-glazed viewing window for monitoring samples during testing. The side-mounted control panel includes a microprocessor-based digital controller, an independent over-temperature thermostat, a main switch, and indicator lamps. Two rotating platforms are supplied to perform both test procedures.
