+91 98967 93832Fluid mechanics is concerned with the physical behavior of fluids. An important area of fluid mechanics is the analysis of air flow in the incompressible range to determine pressure distribution and velocity profiles. These principles are important in the design and development of turbomachines and other fluid systems.
This air flow experimental unit provides a comprehensive platform for conducting experiments in steady, incompressible flow. An external Pitot tube is used to measure free jets, while an internal Pitot tube allows investigation of airflow within the pipe section. A low-loss inlet and appropriately designed pipe section support effective airflow development.
The airflow can be studied using different measuring objects, including a nozzle, orifice plate and iris diaphragm. The iris diaphragm allows the diameter of the airflow to be varied, while different pipe fittings can be used to investigate pipe friction losses. Multiple pressure measuring points allow pressure conditions along the measuring section to be determined. The tube manometers provide pressure readings that can be used to determine pressure distribution and flow velocity.
Optional accessories can further extend the experimental range to include verification of the continuity equation and conservation of energy during changes in air-jet cross-section, as well as boundary layer measurements on a flat surface in longitudinal flow.
Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on precision, durability and consistent performance for technical education and practical training applications.
