+91 98967 93832Under real conditions, heat transfer between two objects can occur simultaneously through convection, heat conduction and thermal radiation. Separating and determining the individual heat quantities transferred by each method can be challenging.
This Convection and Radiation Teaching Equipment is designed to practically investigate and compare heat transfer by convection and radiation. The core of the system is an electrically heated metal cylinder positioned at the center of a pressure vessel. The cylinder surface temperature is controlled, while temperature sensors measure the surface temperature of the cylinder and the wall temperature of the pressure vessel.
The pressure vessel can be operated under vacuum or at positive gauge pressure. Under vacuum conditions, heat transfer takes place primarily through radiation. When the vessel is filled with gas and operated at positive gauge pressure, convection also contributes to heat transfer. Different gases such as air, nitrogen, helium and carbon dioxide can be used for comparative experiments.
Heat conduction is largely suppressed by appropriately suspending the metal cylinder. A rotary vane pump generates vacuum conditions, while compressed air can be used to create positive gauge pressure. Pressure, temperature and heating power are displayed digitally, and measured values can be transferred to a PC through Ethernet for analysis.
Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on precision, durability and consistent performance for technical education and practical training applications.
