Flow Through Pipes and Fittings Teaching Equipment

Flow Through Pipes and Fittings is designed for practical teaching and investigation of pressure losses and head losses occurring in pipes, piping elements and various fittings. The system allows students to study the relationship between flow velocity and pressure loss and determine resistance coefficients for different piping components.

The experimental unit incorporates smooth pipes of different diameters and at least one rough pipe with known roughness. Variable flow rates allow investigations under different operating conditions. Pressure measurement is performed without interaction through annular chambers, while transparent measuring objects support practical determination of flow rate.

The system includes a hydraulic bench with a centrifugal pump and bypass pipe with valve, together with flow measuring instruments and differential pressure measurement devices. It is suitable for fluid mechanics and hydraulic engineering laboratories.
