Pressure Losses in Piping System Teaching Equipment

This experimental unit is designed for the investigation of pressure losses during flow through various pipe fittings and a ball valve. It enables practical study of sudden contraction, sudden enlargement, pipe bend, segment bend, pipe angle and ball valve as measurement objects.

Annular chambers allow precise measurement of pressure at different points in the piping system. Six tube manometers provide visual pressure readings, while a Bourdon tube pressure gauge is used for pressure measurement. The flow rate can be determined using a suitable base module, with water supplied either through the base module or directly from the laboratory supply.
