Propeller Type Turbine Trainer

Propeller Type Turbine Trainer is designed for practical teaching and investigation of the operating principle and performance of a propeller-type turbine. The system features a closed water circuit with a submersible pump, throttle valve and water tank.

The flow rate can be adjusted using the throttle valve, while the turbine is loaded using an air-cooled eddy-current external brake. The turbine has a rotor with fixed blades and adjustable guide vanes for setting different angles of attack.

Non-contact speed measurement is provided at the turbine shaft, while a force sensor at the brake enables torque measurement. A digital display provides measurement of pressure, temperature, flow rate, speed and torque.

Data acquisition is supported through PC-based software via USB for recording and analysis of experimental results.
