Solar PV Grid Connected or Stand-Alone Simulator

Solar PV Grid-Connected or Stand-Alone Simulator is designed for practical teaching and demonstration of photovoltaic power generation in both grid-connected and stand-alone operating modes. The system incorporates typical electrical components used in practical photovoltaic applications and allows students to investigate the operation and characteristics of solar PV power systems.

The simulator can be operated with a photovoltaic simulator or with actual photovoltaic modules. For grid-connected operation, the system includes an inverter with maximum power point (MPP) tracker. For stand-alone operation, an inverter and charge controller are provided together with a solar battery and lamp.

A commercially available combiner box is included for practical connection and distribution of photovoltaic components. The operating states of the system can be displayed through software, while network connectivity enables experiments to be observed, acquired and analyzed from multiple workstations via LAN/WLAN.
