Two Stage Axial-Flow Fan Teaching Equipment

Two Stage Axial-Flow Fan is designed for practical teaching and investigation of the operating characteristics and performance of two-stage axial-flow fans. The system consists of two identical single-stage fans that can be operated individually or connected in series to investigate two-stage fan operation.

Both fans are equipped with individually adjustable blades and variable-speed drives using frequency converters. A flow-optimized nozzle and flow straightener provide smooth, low-turbulence airflow. The air flow through the pipe section can be adjusted using a throttle valve, while an optional pipe bend at the outlet can be used to investigate flow deflection.

A measuring device with a three-hole probe is provided for determining differential pressure across the rotor and guide vane system. Sensors measure pressure and temperature upstream and downstream of each fan, while the volumetric flow rate is determined through the inlet nozzle. The system is suitable for fluid mechanics, turbomachinery and mechanical engineering laboratories.
